Christopher F Cobb
Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, and after earning a Theatre Arts degree from Florida School of the Arts, Christopher braved the wilds of New York City to experience the world of acting. Finding it a cruel and inhospitable world, he retreated high in the Appalachian Mountains to rethink his life. Having grown weary of snow and black ice, his path took him back home to Florida where he earned a B.A. in Social Science and Ethnic Studies at Florida Atlantic University. He landed rewarding employment for the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission as a Marketing Specialist and Producer for the Palm Beach International Film Festival's Student Showcase of Films. He now lives in Jupiter – the city, not the planet – with his true love and talented artist, Alicia, their two weird cats, Simon and Weezy, and his amazingly wonderful daughter, Emma. He is a member of the Bloody Pens Writers Group, as well as the Florida Writer's Association and the South Florida Writer’s Association.
Christopher just signed a two-book deal with Darkwater Syndicate in Miami Lakes, Florida. The deal delivered the return of his first book, A Moon Called Sun, which rose like a phoenix from the ashes of his former publisher. His second book, The Slant Six, is a space opera thriller in the same vein as Star Wars and The Fifth Element. This new release ingeniously mixes sci-fi with intense chase scenes and a sprinkling of NASCAR-style race action. The Slant Six began as a wink-and-a-nod to Duel, the ‘71 made-for-tv classic, and the timeless melodrama Death of Salesman, but set in outer space! The result is an exhilarating thrill ride through the galaxy gestated in literary whimsy, quirky humor and gritty realism. Whatever, the hook is good and you'll like it!
